Dr Ponniah Vanamoorthy

A Senior Consultant in the Institute of Neurosciences and Spinal Disorders, Dr Ponniah Vanamoorthy is a renowned Neuro-Intensivist who he leads the Department of Neuroanaesthesiology and Neurocritical Care. An alumnus of Madurai Medical College, he has vast expertise in the sub-specialty of neurocritical care, managing complex critically-ill patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, polytrauma, stroke, subarachnoid haemorrhage, intracerebral haemorrhage and so on. As a neuro-anaesthesiologist, he has experience in the administration of anaesthesia and perioperative care of complex neurosurgical cases. He has a special interest in deploying multimodal neuromonitoring to accomplish an individualised approach to seek better outcomes.
